The BBright bottom bracket was developed by Gerard Vroomen during his years at Cervelo Cycles. The setup is similar to PressFit30 but asymmetrical, meaning the non-drive side of the bottom bracket is 11mm wider than the drive side.
The main benefit for this is that it allows frame builders to increase the width of the rear triangle, resulting in a stiffer frame and potentially more tire clearance.
The drive side is left narrower to make sure the crank set and chain rings to do not interfere with the chain stays.
Set up as an open standard, free for any frame maker to use, until today BBRight has only been widely adopted by Cervelo Cycles and has been used as the consistent bottom bracket standard across all their road and time trial frames since 2012.
- Road and off-road specific seal options to keep your road, triathlon, TT, cross and mountain bikes running smoothly
